Sailor's Spring 1 14 oz. can of wild Alaskan pink salmon 1 onion 1 egg 2 tablespoons of flour 1/2 c of vegetable oil 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper 1/2 teaspoon of salt The first step, is to open the canned salmon and separate the bones from the fish. The second step, is to heat the vegetable oil in a medium skillet as you are preparing the salmon croquettes. The third step, in a bowl, combine the salmon, egg, flour, diced onion, salt, and black pepper. Stir until mixed well. The fourth step, create a patty of the salmon mix (similar to a hamburger). The fifth step, place the salmon croquettes in the heated oil until browned on both sides. Cook a little longer for desired crisp. The sixth step, remove the salmon croquettes from the heated oil, and place the salmon croquettes in a strainer to drain, or on top of paper towels on a plate, or on a brown paper bag to absorb the oil from the salmon croquettes.
